- Majority Racial Group: The racial identity that 51% of youth under 18-year-olds identify as.
- Brandeis University’s Child Opportunity Level: An estimate of the local resources available to children in an area, ranging from "very low" to "very high" based on Michigan's state averages.
- Geographic Type: Whether an area is rural, a town, a suburb, or a city.
- Child Care Urgency Level: An estimate of how staff shortages and child care providers rates impact the need for investment in a county ("Urgent" vs. "High Priority").
- No Background: Shows roads and streets in relation to providers.
