Minnesota Population Center
The Minnesota Population Center (MPC) is one of the world's leading developers of demographic data resources. They provide population data to thousands of researchers, policymakers, teachers, and students. All MPC data are available free over the internet.

Child Trends
The Child Trends databank contains more than 100 indicators of child and youth well-being and effective programs to enhance children's development. It is maintained by Child Trends, a nonprofit, nonpartisan research center that studies children at all stages of development. Child Trends has recently linked with the Annie E. Casey Foundation's Kids Count Initiative.

The Urban Institute: Children of Immigrants Data Tool
The Urban Institute's Children of Immigrants Data Tool enables you to generate charts on the characteristics of children, age 0 to 17, for the United States and for each of the 50 states and the District of Columbia. Data come from the 2005 and 2006 American Community Survey.

The Urban Institute: Arts and Culture Indicators in Communities Project
The Urban Institute's Arts and Culture Indicators in Communities Project (ACIP) developed both a comprehensive definition of Cultural Vitality and tools to show how to measure it. These tools can help us create a more accurate picture of a community and also help us understand the impact of arts and cultural activity on communities.

America's Children: Key National Indicators of Well-Being, 2009
America's Children: Key National Indicators of Well-Being, 2009, is a compendium of indicators illustrating both the promises and the difficulties confronting our nation's young people. The report presents 40 key indicators on important aspects of children's lives. This year's report continues to present key indicators grouped by the seven sections identified in the restructured 10th anniversary report (2007): family and social environment, economic circumstances, health care, physical environment and safety, behavior, education, and health.

The Kauffman Foundation

The Bureau of Labor Statistics
The Bureau of Labor Statistics provides data on numerous subject areas, such as consumer price index, unemployment rate, and national compensation data. It also links to principal U.S. data sources, as well as international countries and international data agencies.
